Summum Aeterna instal the new version for mac

Instead the game essentially gate keeps anyone who's not in the top 5% of players from getting anywhere with it at all. I don't understand why they balanced the game this way, in a rogue-like with the seed system they have they could have easily accommodated players of all skill levels by starting the game really easy but having higher risk reward seeds for better players. In three hours I haven't made it to a single boss first yet and most runs only last around 10 minutes at most. I can do most rooms just fine but every run I end up in a room where I get surrounded just obliterated in seconds which is not fun in the slightest. I don't mind high difficulty but this feels way too brutal for being the very start of the game. I've played plenty of rogue like games before and this is by far the most unforgiving in the earliest levels. But this game feels way harder to me right off the bat. Aeterna Noctis has a really nice difficulty curve where it starts of genuinely easy and scales up slowly over time which I liked a lot. It's hard enough for me to get there in the first place but spawning in like 7 enemies on me that all hit you with projectiles and attack at the same time just feels impossible to deal with considering how much damage you take and how limited healing is. I've already lost count of how many runs I've attempted but I've yet to make it passed a single chaos key challenge on the second area. My biggest issue is the sheer amount of damage your character takes. But this game has me frustrated right from the start. I'm not an amazing gamer but I'm not terrible either, I did eventually did beat all of Aeterna Noctis and for the most part enjoyed it.

I bought the game yesterday and I've played about 3 hours so far, and it's been a very frustrating experience. But I bet a lot of other people are going to feel the same way as me so I'm making this post anyway. So I doubt anyone here is going to care because you're probably all pros at this game and are just going to call me bad at it.
